A walk.....?

Annabelle walked along the edge of the lake, it was a relatively warm day so she took it as an opportunity to take Cheeko out for a walk...although now that she thought about it, the day would have been better spent in her dorm where she could have kept a better eye on the rabbit.

Cheeko himself was currently darting around the lake at a super speed, it was like the rabbit had gotten his paws on caffeine or something because he was definitely in a hyper mood at the moment. Annabelle sighed sitting on the grass beneath her feet and continued to watch Cheeko as he bounced around the field.

She looked around the empty field, she hoped someone would come along, she never was one to stay alone.

Thomas grinned as he went through the courtyard towards the Lake, it was an amazingly warm day for today, it helped to take his mind off everything else, not completely though, he doubted anything could any more. He sighed to himself, absent-mindedly kicking his left ankle without really thinking about it. It was a small but useful way to take out his anger on his father and everyone else who he felt like cursing right now. He tried to take his mind off that matter though, and started to smile slightly at the smell of all the plants around. He was sure he smelt lavender, and so decided to go on an adventure to find it.

He started to wander around the area, there had to be some somewhere nearby, otherwise he wouldn't of been able to smell them, after a fair few minutes of searching, he saw a tell-tale patch of purple flowers, with a girl quite close to them. He grinned, jogging over to the girl first. Looks like the lavender had led him to people to talk to. "Hi." He said to her, grinning.

Annabelle started slightly as she heard a voice from behind, she turned as saw a boy much younger then her giving her a grin. She smiled brightly happy to have some company "Hi!" However, not wanting to assume he was only there for her companionship she cocked her head to one side in curiosity and hoped she didn't sound rude when she asked "Is something the matter?"

Thomas grinned at the fact he'd seemed to have shocked the girl, resisting the urge to laugh because of it. He grinned back at her bright smile and greeting. "Who would you be then?" He asked, she was an older student, but she was friends with Gwen, and she was in Sixth Year, so he guessed it couldn't be that difficult to make friends with older years. He shook his head without even thinking at her question much. "Nope, everything's fine. I was looking for lavender though, which is just there." He said, pointing towards the lavender, then being quiet to see what she would say.

Annabelle returned the boys grin and replied teasing the boy a little "Did you know that it's polite to introduce yourself first before asking for others' names" She kept the grin on her face to show she was just playing with the boy before introducing herself "I'm Annabelle Fey and you?" She asked smiling.

Annabelle nodded as he answered her question and looked to where he had pointed, she had always loved to look at lavenders, however she wasn't particularly fond of their scent oddly enough. "What has you looking for lavender?" She asked curiously, leaning back on her hands in a relaxed position.

Thomas blinked when he realised he hadn't given his name. "Sorry Annabelle, I'm Thomas... Thomas Riddle." He said, feeling quite the fool for not giving his name first, while trying to avoid putting emphasis on his last name, Thankfully she didn't really seem that annoyed though, so let out a small breath of relief and grinned.

He shrugged at her next question. "Always loved the smell of them, they're a nice colour too." He said, he thought he sounded like a bit of an odd person, but he hardly cared. He didn't need their opinions. Woah. Thomas' mind said to him, causing him to think more. Since when did peoples opinions never matter? It asked, and he kicked his ankle again without thinking. Damn thing was trying to bloody mind control him! He took a few deep breaths, which thankfully calmed him, and he hoped Anna didn't see his internal debate. "You like anything about them?" He asked her, trying to get his midn back onto the conversation.

Annabelle gave a little giggle "No need to apologize I was only teasing" she said with a wide smile "It's a pleasure to meet you Thomas and call me Anna, nearly everyone does."

She was still looking at the rows of lavenders planted on the field when Thomas spoke, she listened while still gazing at the field not noticing the others inner turmoil instead choosing to focus on his question.

"Hmm, well I generally love the sight of them, however their scent is something I'm not too keen for," She turned back to the male giving him a slight bashful grin "It's a little weird, isn't it?"
